Congratulations to Professor Liu Baocheng who won the title of " Active Award for Educational Donation”

Warm congratulations to CIBE’s Director, Prof. Liu Baocheng who was awarded the title "Active Award for Educational Donation" by the People's Government of Nanpi County!

Under the guidance of Prof. Liu, since our inception, CIBE has always been concerned with and showed support for education development of Nanpi Country - one of the national poverty counties, Hebei Province.

In March 2007，Prof. Liu initiated and became the founding president of the Alumni Association of Nanpi No. 1 Middle School. In July 2008, CIBE allied with the Alumni Association to establish the Training Center for the students who failed in the National Entrance Examination. So far, more than 500 local students have been benefited and entered institutions of higher education.

Since 2007, Prof. Liu and CIBE’s Secretary General Dr. Stephan Rothlin not only donate money and contributions for Daguo school, communicate with teachers and students, but also actively called on partners and individuals to provide spiritual encouragement and material aids. In 2009, CIBE took the initiative to lobby to different levels of the government and successfully obtained a grant of RMB2.5 million for the construction of a new campus. The new school is officially approved by the municipal education board to be named after Dr. Rothlin, which demonstrates CIBE’s contribution. In 2013, through Prof. Liu’s help, Bosch China also donated 100,000 RMB, to build a faculty canteen for the school, which solved the daily problems of teachers.

Meanwhile, CIBE works with its partners and individuals to offer financial and social support to students in those two schools. We have successfully organized foreigners’ voluntarily teaching in English and Western culture in summer for four years. In addition, students came to Beijing to attend English summer camp. CIBE also works with Nanpi’s No.1 Middle School and Daguo’s Primary School, for the improvement of local education facilities and more importantly, advanced education concepts and management skills.
