On the occasion of CHINA TIME 2014, a week long showcase of the partnership between China and Hamburg curated by the Hamburg senate, this event celebrated social entrepreneurship and innovation in China and Germany.
Key insights were given by Prof. Dr. Baocheng Liu, Professor for the Center for International Business Ethics at the University of International Business and Economics, Beijing, and Dr. Alex Chichi Hsu, Director of United Development Centre, Beijing together with Dr. Jasper Hou, Managing Director of China Social Impact Investment, Beijing.
Panel discussions included the experts above as well as social entrepreneurship expert Norbert Kunz, CEO of Social Impact, Berlin. Ding Li, Vice President of the non-profit organization NPI, Shanghai, Prof. Dr. Andreas Heinecke, Founder of Dialogue in the Dark - international as well as Andrea Debbane, Head of the Airbus Foundation took on leading roles in the DO School style discussion groups in the second part of the evening.
To conclude the night, four focus groups discussed the roles of stakeholders from business, foundations & NGOs, public institutions as well as social entrepreneurs and their societal short, medium, and long-term opportunities for social impact.
The evening was moderated by Chief Editor of enorm Magazin, Marc Winkelmann and was organized in collaboration with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.
